Call for Nominations for Iowa NAPNAP Executive Board and Volunteer Positions
Terms Begin September 1, 2023


Nominations are now being accepted for the following positions:

President-Elect

  • Each year the Iowa NAPNAP Board develops a Call for Nominations for Board positions to be filled in that year’s election.
  • Final selections among the candidates will be determined by a vote of the membership in August 2023
  • New Board members take office on September 1, 2023.

Please see below for a summary of each position and instructions for submitting your nomination(s).

President Elect (3-year term, year one President-Elect, year two President, year three Past-President)- The President-elect shall become familiar with the duties of the President and shall automatically succeed to the presidency at the conclusion of the President’s term of office. The President-elect shall perform the duties of the office in the absence of the President or in the case of inability to act. When so acting, the President-elect shall have all powers of and be subject to all the restrictions, placed upon the President, and shall perform such other duties as the members of the Executive Board may specifically prescribe. The president-elect shall chair the Constitution and Bylaws Committee. After serving a term of two years, the President-elect shall succeed to the office of the President.

Instructions for Submitting Nominations

NOTE: Iowa NAPNAP Members may nominate multiple qualified candidates or themselves for each position. There is no limit to the number of candidates you may nominate for each of the open Board positions.

  1. Contact each nominee and confirm their willingness to be nominated and to serve if elected.
  2. Gather the following information for each nominee: full name and affiliation and your reasons for nominating.
