The medical center features state-of-the-art technology, including EPIC EMR, and offers teaching opportunities through Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residency programs affiliated with the University of Iowa. **Opportunity: Board Certified - General Surgery**

This position offers a dynamic opportunity for a Board Certified PA with experience in General Surgery. The role involves working alongside skilled surgeons in a well-established practice that serves as a regional healthcare destination. **Job Details:**

• 14 shifts per 28-day period with 24-hour shifts (12 on-site, 12 on-call)
• Inpatient responsibilities including rounding on post-op patients
• Providing inpatient and ED consultations
• Operating room assistance as a First Assistant
• Clinical follow-up care
• Working with a team of 2 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers
• Supervision by General Surgery eGS acute surgicalist
• Access to comprehensive support including dedicated clinical staff, reception staff, and ancillary services
• Practice includes clinic consults, follow-up care, and various procedures
• Perform both laparoscopic and open surgical procedures
• Participate in endoscopy services
• Coverage for trauma and general surgery calls
