This medical center serves as a hub hospital for 16 surrounding counties with a patient population of over 200,000. The facility features comprehensive medical imaging, laboratory services, and pharmacy support. It utilizes GE Centricity for clinic operations and EPIC for hospital management, offering an integrated healthcare environment with teaching opportunities through internal medicine and family medicine residency programs as well as PA student rotations.

Job Details:

• Locum tenens position with flexible coverage dates from July through January
• Monday-Friday schedule (8am-5pm) with weeknight call and weekend 24-hour call responsibilities
• Inpatient duties include rounding on post-op patients, inpatient/ED consults, and OR procedures
• Clinical, surgical, and trauma/orthopedic call responsibilities
• Joining a team of 4 physicians with support from nursing staff, cast technicians, reception, and surgery schedulers
• Well-equipped facility with 2 exam rooms and 3 cast rooms per provider
• Appointment lengths vary from 10-30 minutes depending on visit type
• Procedures include total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, plus hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures
• Trauma injury treatment, fracture care, sports medicine, and other orthopedic disorders
• New graduates are welcome to apply
• Active Iowa license or Active Compact/IMLC LOQ required

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice coverage included.
