This facility is a hub hospital serving 16 surrounding counties with a population of over 200,000. The medical center features comprehensive medical imaging, laboratory services, and pharmacy support. The facility utilizes GE Centricity for clinic documentation and EPIC for hospital records, providing an integrated healthcare experience for both providers and patients.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday (8am-5pm) with weeknight call and weekend 24-hour call responsibilities
• Multiple coverage periods available from July through January
• Inpatient responsibilities include rounding on post-op patients, inpatient/ED consults, and OR procedures
• Clinical, surgical, and trauma/orthopedic call responsibilities
• Supported by nursing staff (1 nurse per provider), 3 cast techs, reception staff, and surgery schedulers
• Access to 2 exam rooms and 3 cast rooms
• Perform total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements
• Handle various surgical procedures for hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot
• Provide care for trauma injuries, fracture care, sports medicine, and other orthopedic disorders
• Teaching opportunities with internal medicine and family medicine residency programs and PA student rotations
